ABOUT DANIEL

Daniel studied music at the University of Huddersfield and the Royal Northern College of Music.

Working predominantly in the Musical Theatre industry, Daniel is currently Musical Director for the international tour of Cats. He was also recently Assistant Musical Director for Kiss Me, Kate (Barbican 2024), The King and I (UK Tour & West End 2023/24) and Anything Goes (UK Tour & Barbican 2022).

 

Other work includes numerous seasons at the Thursford Christmas Spectacular and Assistant Musical Director for the Leeds Playhouse production of The Wizard of Oz. In 2021, he was Musical Director for the revival of NHS: The Musical at Theatre Royal, Plymouth.

Aside from his work in musical theatre, Daniel continues to enjoy a versatile musical career and is equally at home performing in many different genres. 

Daniel has a wealth of experience as an accompanist and also plays frequently for rehearsals and auditions.

He is always keen to explore a wide range of repertoire through conducting, which has led him to work with many different ensembles including brass bands, orchestras and choirs.

Daniel is also a trombonist, and has been a member of some of the UK's finest brass bands - notably the world famous Grimethorpe Colliery Band,
